anyone know of a pagoda mechanic in dallas

just moved to dallas from san francisco.

have a 71 280 sl and would like to find a reasonably priced mechanic that does good work and will NOT use aftermarket parts in my car.

any leads?

I've got a guy I use in Carrollton.   Arthur Van der Vlies at Arthur's Mercedes.   I know of several others also.

Nice to see another Pagoda owner here in the Metroplex (though mine has been in the paint shop for the last 3 months)....

I've gotten great advice and help from Will Samples, at S&S Imports (214-826-5977), although I think he's pretty busy with his work on 190sl's, so I don't know how much he works on pagodas himself these days.

I've had substantial work done at Dallas Auto Sports--where Will S referred me--on Garland Road near White Rock Lake (214-320-2228):  top end rebuild, new fuel injection pump the biggest jobs.  They seem to know what they're doing quite well and are quite fair in their pricing (though not cheap).  

Arthur in Carrolton did a prepurchase inspection for me some years ago and saved me from buying a problem pagoda; he seemed quite good, although I haven't used him for repair work otherwise.
