Softtop Alternative Configuration

I have been using the softtop with the front two pins secured to the windshield but with the back bow up snap tight against the 2nd bow. I found that this way I can get shielded from the hot sun (like a canopy) but with good air flow inside the car. I like to know if anyone else had tried it. I would also like to know if anyone had tried to modify the softtop for automated operation.

Louis,
You've obviously got a nice, tight soft top frame. At this point, many people have frames that are too loose to keep the rear window up while driving.
