DVD-R discs aren't perfect so it's possible that David's might be bad.  Generally, older Sony and Toshiba players are not real good with DVD-R discs.  Later players, of all makes, have thinner lasers and better control of the beam.

The video is in NTSC as it was produced in the US.  If your player is PAL only, (Or SECAM for the FSU) that will be a problem.  If any of you have trouble with playback, try it on a DVD-ROM equipped computer or another DVD player.  If it's still is an issue, let Dick or me know.

Next time we could do a glass master and press 1,000 discs to avoid all these problems.  But the we couldn't do them free.

The good news is that everyone seems to be enjoying the show.  I have undertaken the spring upgrade myself and Jim Villers input has been invaluable.  After the first install, the ride height is too high but the improvement in handling is striking.

I think you're right Rodd, my player is a bit old, alright a lot old. Obviously time to get a new one.

Raymond .... Good to hear the feedback on the spring installation.  When you sort out the ride height, be sure to post your combination of cutting and spacers or what ever.

Hi dick,

Thanks for the video :) It is great . I love seeing so many pagodas driving by. What an excellent clip.. and yes the sound of the pagodas are music to the ears. The Blacklick and Viller's spring and shock presentation was also very informative.

It was also great that I can now put some faces to the names I often see in the forum.

I wanted to get your permission, Dick ,to reproduce the VCd so I can pass them out to some pagoda owners here in the Philippines and hopefully have them join the club as well.

Cheers and many thanks

Hi Joel
Thanks for your comments...I have no problem with reproducing the disk for a give away and assume Jim is ok with it too.

Dear all,

Dick has been so kind as to upload the video he produced of the Blacklick tech session to Google Video. As a result of this you can now admire the video on our own front page!

Head on over to http://www.sl113.org/home.asp and press the video-recorder "play" button to see the video. It also makes for some great advertising to new members of the group! So all go and enjoy Dick's work.

Thanks so much for that post, I thoroughly enjoyed the video.  Informative, too.  Now I know that it is not pronounced:
                 "seeze"...
klumper, that is.

Thanks for all the effort,

Best,

Wow! I just watched the video, it's great!  Fabulous job, Dick!

The whole Blacklick tech session looked great, too, Joe and Mary and everyone else involved deserve many thanks and congratutions on putting on such a neat event.

It's time to start getting serious about something on the west coast for those of us who don't know where Ohio is.  Maybe in '08?
