Ian who? Thanks for posting Naj, I will have to get this issue because this looks to be the very first time our little club is being referred to in such a publication. A landmark first.

Yet again, the main selling points seem to be...everything - reliability, availability of bits, design, driving experience

But as it excels (or is dire) in none of them, it seems to be penalised. It's almost as if: "I need to find something wrong, but I can't so therefore it has no outstanding features" :|  :)

I called the bookstore that I frequent to ask if they had that specific issue in.  The bookstore will eventually have it but do not anticipate that they will have it until late June :( .  I wonder which of the cars rated better overall...the Mercedes Pagoda or the Fiat Dino  :?: .  Nonetheless, I can't wait to get the magazine.

Ooops, the magazine will not be in until late July vice late June.  Considering it is a August 2006 edition and an oversea magazine at that, then late July is acceptable.  However, it does not ease the pain of waiting.

There are also very nice cover stories on Pagoda's in Classic and Sports Car's December 2002 and October 1998 issues.  This is a great magazine, and along with Excellence, is my favorite.

I will  try again today today including Borders to fine this August issue. Ifanyone has an extra copy prehaps I can purchase from them , if I still have a problem finding this magazine.

Where are you?  Borders always has Classic & Sports Car.  The article compares the SL to a Fiat Dino.  As is usually the case when a writer gets to know the SL, it comes off as much more of a sports car than a boulevard cruiser.

This magazine is still on the stands in Holland. I mulled over buying it just yesterday, had a look at the article and decided it was not worth my $14. The end verdict on what's the better car (Fiat Dino or W 113) is the usual "it depends on your preferences - let's call it a tie". The article is not too long and I don't think the pictures were all that great.

I will pick up a copy for you Bob, when I return home (I am in Boston on business right now) Saturday morning.
