Parts book available from MB?
« on: August 02, 2006, 15:07:56 »
I have a parts book showing numbers for most all of the parts
on my 1959 220S. Is a similar book available for the W113?

Thanks!
Vaughn.

Yes, certainly :) . You can download a .pdf with the extensive range of paper and CD/DVD workshop literature available from the Mercedes Classic Center at http://www.mercedes-benz-oldtimerservice.com/content/classic/retailer/classiccenter/en/home/home/home/oldtimerservice/spare_parts/technical_literature.html

Mind you that the link Hans posted is for the European Classic Center. There is also one in the US and they sell different things, for example as far as I know, there is a CD-ROM available for our cars in the US that is not sold in the European Classic Center that has the owner's manual, Big Blue Book as well as the parts book, all on one CD-ROM.

I believe the parts book on the CD is only a picture parts book, no part numbers.... :?:

But there is a separate parts catalog on CD. Latest one has all three models on it.

Bobby,
Send an email - in English - to: elke.meyer@daimlerchrysler.com
tell her you want the parts catalog for W113 and ask her to email you the instructions on where to fax your order and how to pay for the  "EPC COMPACT Plus" disk. The part number in German is: Artikel Nr. COMP113004
That's what I did to get mine.
The info on the disk is in English and German but the program is not the easiest to use .. nothing intuitive but very germanic, if I may say so  ;)
Feel free to contact me via email if you have trouble ordering the disk.

I sent e-mail to Elke, I believe, but my invoice shows "Sandra" 0049 711 17 84062. I may also have called. Paid using American Express. The Ersatzteilkatalog W113 cost Euro 17.54, shipping was Euro 10.00 I also received a price list dated 2005. I previously bought a workshop manual the same way. It was easy to deal with them.

Bobby,

I got the book by using the contact info for the European Classic Center.  The book was expensive, maybe US $80 or more + shipping?  It's in 5 languages, so I only use the US language section.  Mine is for the 230SL only, there is another book for the 250/280.  Also, the CD is available which I don't have, but I believe it has not only the parts list, but also the technical data manual and other things.
