Fuel, fuel, fuel.
You can use the Search tool to get more details on these points:
- First, find the Fuel Tank Tour thread and read that.
- Remove fuel guage sender from fuel tank (through trunk floor) and inspect fuel tank for rust. Drain tank and replace in-tank filter if suspected of being clogged.
- Remove inlet to electric fuel pump and see if you have a screen clogged (see recent fuel pump maintenance thread).
- Remove main fuel filter in engine bay and replace. Sloppy job, have rags handy!
- Once all fuel filters are checked and clear, test fuel flow rate of electric pump at the return line to the tank. If rate is low, you have a weak pump or a blockage.
- If this all checks out OK, then come back for more suggestions.
