If you feel the site is too heavy in graphics, and too slow for dial-up use, you can change the look and feel of the site, to reduce the graphics and make it quicker.
Log in first, then go to the Profile tab, then go to Look and Layout preferences, and for Current Theme press the change link.
Then choose the sMOOth-lt116v1 theme... it uses the least graphics and will be quickest over a dial-up line. This only changes the look and feel of the Forums, but that's where you probably spend most time.
