NEED HELP W/ TRANI #

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT MERCEDES YEAR AND MODEL TRANI THIS IS? iM HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING THE RIGHT CLUTCH KIT FOR THIS. I DO HAVE A 64 230SL THE NUMBERS DONT MATCH .motor # 130 980-10-016465 .I KNOW NOW 280SE 68 TO 71.THE CLUTCH KIT I ORDERED HAS MATCHING PRESSURE PLATE and disc but the bearing IS TOO SMALL ON THE NEW ONE javascript:insertsmilie(' 8) ')

I would guess its from a 280SE sedan W108 chassis, as I think the 280SL motors are 130 983 !

It will fit however !

Ben is correct; additionally it was used in the W111 280 SE Coupe and convertible.
Production W 108 with 130.980 from 11/67 to 9/72

Model has been answered, but year might be more difficult.  It might not matter, though, as when the time comes to order parts, you just give the engine number so the parts supplier knows what you need.

Additionally, the '10' denotes a standard (manual) transmission block, whereas a '12' would be an automatic.

It may also stand for In-line 6 cylinders.  As apposed to V6.
