I am looking for a similar one in London .Thanks againKemalHi Kemal,I joined the Mercedes Owners Club just to get their magazine with classified ads, and found it in there. I didn't renew my membership the next year as the club scene isn't really 'for me', but I do think it's a good way of finding a cherished car. I found this one in Sheffield, in 1999.I didn't get it right first time though; a year earlier I had bought a 230SL from a classic car dealer for £ 12k, and -unsurpisingly perhaps- it was a terrible car; it looked quite pretty, but that was it; it certainly wasn't very reliable. My current car cost me much, much more, but in my seven years of ownership, has only needed basic servicing, and has been all over Europe without any problems. So, my advice is spend top money now to save later.

[ How does one know ?]Check it out .ThanksKemalHiI have had a look at it and if it is as good as the description suggests, then it would be a fair price. However I have personally not heard of Autoart in Dagenham, so I don't know the likely standard of restoration. Ask if there are photographs of the restoration (it would be good to see evidence/invoices for the new wings and doors as these would have cost a small fortune). Go see the car and take a magnet with you to make sure the wings aren't full of filler. (it won't stick on doors bonnnet & bootlid as these are aluminium). I have seen cars at Classic Chrome that looked great on the surface, but on closer inspection had a lot of filler in them, though others have been good. If you still think it might be the car for you, ask if you can take it to a specialist to have it checked out.
