I am one of those generally in favor of painting the car the color you want to look at for years to come. I know the arguments for and against having the color match the datacard -- but again, personally, this is really your one chance to "pick" your Pagoda as if it was on a lot at the local MB Dealership. Especially if you are paying for a quality paint job.

Having said that, in my case, (white car), I would likely stay with white since I have had it for so long. It would be a little creepy to see it in another color...also I like the white a lot. (although, a dark blue metallic or signal red with Ed Cave's interior might be kinda nice...)

I like the Tunis Beige Metallic.  I would think ivory w/ bamboo would look just too "washed out".  I like color, but it's your car.  Have you seen lots of different Pagodas in person?

I have seen a great number of ivory and light ivory 113's in ads and on ebay, etc. While it is the color of my car and I am very fond of the car itself, if I had the chance to pick I would prefer a metallic color to set it apart from the crowd. I like Tunis Beige Metallic also and with the bamboo its an "understated elegance" combination. I would stick with it.

James,

What color white is your car?  My '65 is white but I don't think it is correct.  The DB50?? I looked at looks to off white to me.

Hey Jim. Aloha. Well I call it "white" versus anything more specific because... originally it was 717 which is papyrusweiss. However, when I had it painted the paint place agreed to "match the paint as close as possible." They got pretty close but I am sure it's a shade "whiter" than it was before. I figured this out when I went to touch up the dash (still original). I actually like my "white" -- but it might be somewhere between the 717 and the 050.

DB158 = "Gray-White" (or White-Gray"?).  I don't know the German word.
