:) Possibly ..... I have not purchased one yet, although I did drive a 1968 280SL last June in the Three Castles Trials in Wales. Actually there were two Pagodas in that event.

The car I drove was loaned to me by the organizer of that event, Ian Crammond, who rallies it in the UK and the continent as well. He was kind enough to let us borrow it for about 8 days, 4 for the rally and 4 for touring thru the Yorkshire area of the UK.

It is fitted with roll bar, 4 pt belts and rally computer. Other than that it is basically stock, with an automatic and of course LHD.

Ian also happened to be my co-driver in the 2003 & 2004 Targa Newfoundland Rallies in Canada. We drove a simple Honda CRX that was slightly modifed from track racing to make it perform well in tarmac rallying.

The Honda CRX is a wonderful little car, but not a lot of space for two chaps well over 6' tall (plus helmets) and shy of 240 lbs each. The Pagoda has a bit more room.

Since I live in Canada, and Ian lives in London we can only get together for the odd event. The plans right now are to do the Targa Tasmania in 2008, although if time permits we may enter the Targa Newfoundland this September. If that is the case we will probably be driving a Porsche 944, unless I find the right 280 or 230.

Sorry this is so long ..... if anybody has any questions about any of the above events let me know. 8)

Best regards ...BB

Thanks for the link Jim.  I really like the paint job.  It's the first non-standard paint design I've seen that I think enhances the look.  Appropriately aggressive for a race car.
