Here are some interesting quotes from this web site:

"Her Inline-6 Cylinder Engine has also been freshly rebuilt and Updated from a 2 single barrel carburetor set-up to a Bosch Fuel Injected system which increases engine Performance."

Yes, and it increases correctness, too!

"TIRES/WHEELS: 7.25 x 14"

Wow, those are some mighty wide wheels!

Also, it looks like it has 280SL seats & wheel covers, and there are bumper over-riders on the front but not on the back.  Oh, and what kind of fuel cap is that?

Well, since Rodd mentioned wheels...I think they should not only be two-piece but also be dark blue to match the hardtop and soft-top. (then it would pretty much match my colors.) Such nitpickin' (can I say that?) aside -- it is a nice looking car.

P.S. At least my owner's manual is in better shape!

I feel, at that price, they could have repaired the steering wheel. Looks like a crack on the right side.

7.25 (inches) X 25.4 (mm per inch) = 184.15mm, a touch narrower than the standard 185mm.

Somehow not convinced that they are cross ply tires

Just call me Maytag, because I'm an agitator.

I knew that the corny tech information on the Dixie Dream Cars web-site would get ya'll going.

I don't imagine there is any way to fit a carbureted motor in a pagoda without cutting a hole through the hood. I had once heard about mounting 3, 2-barrel side draft Webbers on a M-130v motor but the story was that no one was ever able to sort out the jetting to make it run right.

Also the original wheels are stamped 6Jx14H under the hub cap.

i guess this is a little off this topic but i have a question for james. are your wheels powder coated or painted? did you do them yourself? they look really good as do the hubcaps. you might have a prospective copy-cat on your hands!

Hey Bo. Thanks. (I am assuming I am the James -- we seem to have several here)... But to be honest, while my wheels and my hub centers seem to be photogenic, they could be better. I have painted both just using your run of the mill spray paint. I would like to have the wheels powder coated someday. I was quoted 50 a rim IF they were baremetal (but how much to get them there)... And I would especially like to have my hubs painted someday with real automotive paint. Anyone planning to paint with 332G? Didn't think so...

As for the M130 engine: We replaced carbs for a 250C M130 with dual DGV some years ago from a commercial source I can not remember.  A beautiful baby blue coupe, a rare completely dry example for w114 from the southwest desert, we sold it on ebay - the buyer was a young kid from near atlantic city who was wearing a reversed ballcap and beastie boys t-shirt.  Somehow I feel that inexpensive classic is not in as good condition today, but you never know. The long-devalued market for w114 coupes has had an effect on the availability of finding excellent examples - undervalued cars do not survive as well as the more valued SL cars.

Have never heard of 3 carb setups on the M130. The single and dual weber options are so very adequate.  This is for engines that had original Solex.  Can't think of any sane reason for replacing Bosch mechanical injections as found on the SL and the diesel models. I simply have not experienced a problem with Bosch injection on the SL, the w123 turbo diesel wagon, or a 180D ponton. Not one.  As I say this I can not get the SL started, so maybe I am fooling myself?
