fog light switch
« on: July 26, 2007, 12:14:27 »
I have a european 1963 230sl sn 1207 and I have integrated fog lights in my light cluster and they do work(turn on as designed by the light switch on the dash but the switch does not hold in the pulled out position and thus the fog lights go off.  Is the switch faulty or am I to do something else for it to hold in that position.  please advise

You have to pull it out and then turn in the pulled-out position

Yes, pull without turn does not hold the position.  Turn to the right one notch (or two) and then pull for fog lights.  I think the design is that you can not run on fog lights alone, but must have other lights on as well.

Fog lights are on fuse 8-might have a mechanical interlock on light switch?
