I am looking for wiring diagrams for my 230 SL. I have a BBB but, I can not find any diagrams specifically for it. The problem is as follows. The car will not kick down until it slows to about 27 MPH, it will not over that speed. The linkage is free. I checked the solenoid and found out that there is voltage to some of the pins but not all. Some of the wiring that does have voltage loses it when there is a load put on. I am looking for the diagrams so I can figure out where the wiring begins and terminates without having to phsically follow every wire. Are there any out there and if so, where? Thank You

Wiring diagrams in color were sent with PagodaWorld 7 to all full members.

I had mis wired the switch at the throttle body and the selenoid was not working correctly.

Thank you for the link. The wires are connected ok. I do not get any voltage from a couple and I get 12 volts from others but, I do not get the voltage on those when under load. One I do get voltage under load. I need to find where these wires are coming from and would like a diagram in order to trace them out without going through following them all. The fuses are good.

Aren't the wiring diagrams in the BBB for manual cars and do not show the auto solenoid wiring?

I think it is the same thing for the wiring diagrams included in that Pagoda World.

The diagrams in the BBB are for Models 190c, 190Dc, 220b, 220Sb, 220Seb and 220 Seb Coupe B. There is no mention, as far as I can see, of the Pagodas.

no problem

when using the steps in the link, I was able to find my electrical problems.
with the help of an assistant you can check the selenoid action.
once that is straight then you move on to the vacuume side.

so, I am also having problems with my kick down switch, which by the way worked the other day AND worked properly when installed. (I followed the instructions from the mercedes dismantlers link)

last night I pulled out the color wiring diagram from the pagoda world and the double acting seleniod from fuse number 3 is not in the schematic.

I think the mb cd or service manual has more info.

The wiring diagram posted by Jim Villers is availabe in full color in Pagoda World #7. Let me know if you need a copy.

The "ladder diagram" Glenn is working on is really neat. He'll send me a had done copy and I'll put it into an electrical diagram software package. It should turn out great!
