Distributor: Aluminum or Cast Iron?
« on: August 23, 2007, 15:20:22 »
How do I know if I have an aluminum or cast iron distributor? Some of the tune up parts are different for each. Here are some numbers on plate riveted to the shaft:

Bosch
0231116051
         JFUR6

I have a very early 280SL, production number 00076

2003 Van Dieman Formula Car (Race)

If you call ray at buds benz and tell him your distro number he will give you the correct part numbers for the tune up parts
