Hey Ami. Kemal is making a reference to a bit of Popular American Culture. Way back when motion pictures were just getting started, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy blazed the trail of classic American comedy (20's and 30's). Invariably, Stanley would get them into another fine mess and Oliver would get them back out. A little like me and my Pagoda mechanic!

Their cars are cosmetically nice, mostly, but underneath they have some serious serious issues. Their prep time goes into making the car look great; most will get new red upholstery (they say it's what people want) and a really good valet job. Mechanical work, from what I've seen, just ins't done. I was in there a few weeks ago looking over a few SL's. Every one, for example, had shot engine mounts and some were nearing £30K price tag, which was just a joke. But clearly someone buys them at that price.
