I tried subscribing to it and they never gave me a userID.  I did everything right I believe.  I am not sure they have the bugs worked out on this online service yet.

I just tried it.  I got an ID on the third registration screen, and it works just fine for me (as long you have have exactly the computer software configuration they support).

A question I have is: I chose the free box -- but they still want credit card info... Is this the only way in?

As an addendum to my prior post:

After trying EPC with Windows 2000 and IE 7, I tried it under Linux (SuSE 10.1) with Firefox 2.0, and it worked like a champ.  I suspect that the only critical issue is having a modern browser with the correct Java runtime version.  (Vista doesn't ship with Java installed, which is probably why they say "use at your own risk".)  I imagine that a Mac would work fine, too (though perhaps with Firefox rather than Safari).

James,

According to their instructions, the credit card info is to verify that you have a U.S. (or North America?) address.  They claim there's no charge.

James,

I started with Options:Filter, which led me through a selection of model number information that ended up with a list of major components, from which I could see parts diagrams and part numbers.  It looks like there's a lot more one could do, this is all I've tried so far.

Ahh. I see what you mean David. Once I get into the pictures, I can navigate around for part numbers. (or if I have a number, I can see if its correct...) Ideally, I guess this would be our first step to approaching the Classic Center for prices? Thanks again.

EPCnet does not appear to work with Apple/Mac computers.
