Jonny,
What is "adoa 269300"? Regardless of your answer, that's a good price for a 280SL listed as condition 3.

As mentioned in an earlier post (see link below) both Hauser and I were there, and although we didn't see each other (that we know of), we both saw the Pagoda up close and both agreed it was pretty tired, not what you hope to see at a high profile auction. It crossed the block fairly early, as lot No. 026 and the hammer fell at $25k then a 10% auction fee was added for a total cost to purchaser of $27.5. A little later in the afternoon I watched Lot No. 057, a 1950 Ferrari bring $1.6m.
My opinion was that the Pagoda sold just about where I would have expected it to. Auctions are pretty unpredictable, sometimes they add a few thousand, sometimes they leave the seller crying.

RM's head office is about a half hour drive from me near Chatham, Ont. Canada. Well worth the visit should you ever happen to be in the area. My understanding is that they're one of the largest restoration houses in North America with a staff of about 60 people. I think they're over $100,000,000.00 in sales each year.

Gents,
I am the registrar and an active participant in the Gemutlekeit program, the oldest of the MBCA National events.
Just last week I was approached by RM; they would like to sponsor ($$$) Gemutlekeit and would also like to include tours of their facilities. Since Gmut (that's shorthand)is spread out over many days, there should be time for those interested to partake in these tours. More information will be availble on that shortly. It is a bit of a haul down the 401 (eh Dr. Benz) at 90 miles, but well worth the trip I understand. Hey, we've been invited anyway!
If you are interestsed in Gmut, go to our website:
