Removing rev counter (Tachometer), 250 SL
« on: March 10, 2008, 05:37:22 »
Hi guys,
have looked through the various forums and cannot find a step by step guide to removing the rev counter. Mine has started making the terrible noise when cold which other members have reported - anyone been able to fix this themselves?

I have been able to get to the back of the rev counter and easily remove the cable (old merc trick of turning off the windscreen wipers half way across the screen frees up access to the rear of the rev counter) but still cannot see how to get the counter out. Please help. Thanks guys
