Frigiking Electrical Connections
« on: November 27, 2007, 22:34:30 »
I am in the process of "renovating" my Frigiking A/C with help and suggestions from the many informative postings on the subject. In addition to ultimately changing out the condensor, compressor, and the under the hood stuff, I have started by cleaning up the evaporator and then installing a SPAL blower. Could one of the members be kind enough to explain "which wires go where" in regard to the 1)fan speed connections, and the 2)temperature control connections? If it were possible, would anyone recommend getting two new control switches (like from Radio Shack)?
As detailed an explanation regarding all the wires would be very much appreciated, in my case.Thanks.

I had a copy of the FrigiKing installation instructions but have looked at home and can't find them anymore. It is likely that someone will have a set with the documents for their car. Can anyone help?

The control switches on my unit were broken. I tried to replace them with Becker radio control switches but could not get a firm fit. I would give this a try (you can get them from Koenigs for a few Euros)as apart from not having the pointy arrow they are the same size and shape. In the end I used the control switches for the main heating blower which look OK.
