White with blue hardtop?
« on: January 11, 2008, 14:55:22 »
Hey, maybe I'm reading my codes wrong, but it looks like my SL should be white with blue hardtop? Pic attached is of my code. Anyway if it is supposed to be white with blue, does anyone have a picture of a pagoda in that combo? from what I can remember, I've never seen one.

717 = papyrus white
332 = dark blue

I've never seen the "G" stamped in there like that, it's always been raised like the other letters/numbers.  I wonder if your data plate is a replacement?

my data card shows the same color combo 717/332 but it was repainted silver blue years ago and i dont have pics of the original paint job. the fellow i bought it from picked it up in belgium in '81 or '82, which probably explains why the trunk decal is in french.

Well, the blue is fairly dark and it doesn't help that those pictures are under a lot of trees. Here are a couple "in the sun" shots I just took...

looks nice thought. I was thinking if I ever get mine re-painted that combo might look a little strange, but I like it. Thanks for the pictures.
