Another near miss?

This is kind of directed to Bob Possel.
I couldn't help thinking about you after seeing the devastation left behind in nearby Jackson Miss. by those tornadoes. I know you said you are near Memphis but that's only 80 miles from Jackson and even though these things seem to be very concentrated and localized, it's hard to image a storm that picks up and tosses cars around into piles like leaves, doesn't have an impact many miles away. I think I'm safe in saying we all feel for all the lost lives, not to mention the destroyed communites.
I hope you are well and not closely affected

Hello Richard,

We actually had an area of town hit pretty hard with damage from the tornados, but luckily no issues in my neighborhood.

It was a very odd storm with 2 separate fronts.  After the 1st front moved through, we still had 72 degrees (at 7pm).  It was considered a tornado emergency because there were multiple tornados touching down.

My wife and I were watching the local news at around 6pm, staying close to the closet (no basements in Memphis!), and the news stations tower camera was actually showing the tornados forming and touching down just miles away from us...  live action... no need to rent "Twister" here.  Very scary!

Anyway, we were blessed and nothing happened.
Thanks again,
Bob
