I for one actually like the fact the Pagoda is a Man Magnet.

 Since I am female and entering the age range that gives me a better chance of being abducted by terrorists than getting re-married I feel ANY edge I can get can only be considered *positive*!
Pagoda= Good.

I have two main concerns about this tho- are they *only * interested in my car? Look me in the eye, man. Stop staring at my (Euro) headlights with that dreamy far away look on your face.

And sometimes when I am out at the informal car gatherings here in So CA I get attention from guys who look like terrorists. Do they want to steal my car? Oh jeeze- it's not me they want- it's the CAR.

So life can be uncertain when you are in the company of the glamorous Pagoda.

Actually, of all the old MBs that I own, my girlfriend who has no particular affection towards cars, actually likes the pagoda and wouldn't mind owning one.  An automatic one of course.  There are a few cool girls who appreciate old cars and the guys who drive them but for the most part it is guys that will comment on them.

Jeez, i was counting on the car being a GUY magnet.

Seriously  :D --i have the same problem Ann has with her car.  Guess we are the "few cool girls" Dimitri refers to in his post.

peter, what you need is a dog, now THAT'S a chick magnet (and a lot cheaper than a pagoda)

Well, if a Pagoda is a "chick magnet" then that explains why every time I park it outdoors some bird does a bombing run right on the bonnet!

Yeah, and the coolest of the cool girls will even fix their cars, and the supercool cool girls will even do bodywork.

My wife Sharon tolerates my four legged mistresses my Ford Mustang and my 280SL. But as far as  mechnical help she rather pick up a book. I love her dearly we purchased a house based on my need for a garage luckly it all worked out. Know I have our two neices living with us. Only one expressed an intrest in my car hobbie and likes to play with my model cars.
Bad part is I have to lock my office and make sure the girls have an adult supervison around the garage and the cars.
I guess it was pay back time sharon Got me.
