He shouldn't sit there...
There is especially a passenger's seat for these purposes for folks being non-driver.
Trunklid is prone to dents by such kinds of heavy overload.

Guess how I know from .... :?

...and I suspect it's against the law especially as he has failed to wear either a helmet or a safety belt. When will he learn and where were the cops?

I suspect this was a parade lap on a race course.  Note that the actual weight of his body is planted squarely on the steel section of the body itself forward of the aluminum trunk lid but aft of the very easily deformed aluminum soft top cover.  This is a very strong section of the body amply supported from below by the soft top compartment.  There is little, if any, actual body weight on the soft top cover itself, or the trunk lid.  The car owner obviously knew the best spot to position any weight and Mr. Hamilton seems to have been respectful of wishes of the driver and preservation of the car.

No, I am not with you, Mike. :?

If I had such a beautiful red SL like John Lewenauer, Michael Salemi or any other car here I wouldn't even allow any lightweight lady to sit anywhere on the SL's body (with the exception of leaning carefully against fenders or door).
Certainly Louis is no big-sized gentleman but the danger of dents is too great.
Ok, with my shabby old dark-red car it wouldn't matter at all if Louis stood on it if that thing were still running...
... but it is only scrap.
