Barney, welcome

Unlike some forum based clubs, this one actually has a lot more to offer than just the forum

A links page, for example

http://www.sl113.org/links.asp

You may find a supplier through a link that has what you want...

Welcome to the forum Barney

I use either Buds Benz. I use Ray who is located in NY state. He is very knowledgeable. I also use the classic center in California.

Welcome Barney!

As you can see from the replies coming in there are a variety of suppliers out there; many have various specialties.

The Classic Center and MB dealers for "Mercedes-only" parts; K&K for sheet metal, just to name two...

Make a list of what you need and start making phone calls.

Hi Barney -

For new parts, I find that almost without exception that the parts from the classic center are the best deal.  Their shipping is extremely reasonable also.  If you join the MBCCA you will get 15% off on parts also.   The problem with the Classic Center (and MANY of the other providers) is that they will provide the "replaced by" part that doesn't really match on some items.  (Example - forget about getting proper sun visor clips from the classic center, forget about getting the proper left and right fresh air vent levers if you have an early car, etc).  They will send you a later part that is wrong for both of those.

One more note Barney -- never assume that eBay prices are the best prices for new parts.  On most examples that I have seen on eBay for NEW parts, they sell for more on eBay than if you buy them from the Classic Center.   So when you shop eBay, you will save if you check prices for the item new first before you bid.
