Baby Pictures - 69 Biege
« on: July 22, 2008, 04:11:07 »
Haven't bored you with pictures in a few months so here's your overdue dose.

Even though the baby may not be beautiful, it's polite to say "How pretty."

P.S. Hub cap painting is a planned Winter project.
P.P.S. For all of you who demanded a picture of the engine and the interior, they have been added. (No one really asked.)

No Richard...

... I cannot accept that. Why isn't your car beautiful? Where is the problem? I do not think that only absolutely perfect untouched extremely-low-miled survivors or other utmostly restored cars have the right to appear here .... Color scheme is perfect, it's a European  ;) and yours is very, very nice & decent. So, no problem at all.

Would you instead like to see (hidden area) pics of my old '63 (the one that is on the 42 years of Pagoda - poster)?  :( That one looked ugly before being parted out. :x

There are, however, two little things to be mentioned...
1st, the hood strap is stuck between fender and hood -
2nd is really annoying me - but it is absolutely not your fault.
On so many US-based cars I have seen that - the rear brass chrome strips between rear wheel arches and rear bumpers are missing. Why do people (i.e. preowners) do that? These items are 167 €uros each, ouch!

Nevertheless, yours is definitely a nice one.

Best,

Achim:

Your comments are always welcome.

The hood strap is no longer showing. (I changed the photo.)

As your sharp eyes noticed, the rearmost upper molding is missing on the passenger side. (The piece on the Driver side is properly installed.) The P.O. removed the molding to re-paint the car and never put it back. I expect to have the missing piece back where it belongs  in a few weeks...then I'll be able to take the car out in daylight  :o)
