I'm tracking down the short that is keeping my car from starting.
The wire that connects to the bolt on the side of the distributor has continuity to ground, which kinda defeats the purpose of the plastic isolating washers on the dist.
I removed all of the fuses and checked for continuity on the fuse block.
with the key off:
#1 has no continuity to ground on either the top or bottom of the fuse holder
2 thru 6 on top and bottom
7 thru 12 only on the bottom
with the key on:
No continuity all across the top
on the bottom they all have continuity except 1 and 6
lastly for grins I checked continuity between the wire that comes off the resistor and the fuse block:
1 thru 6 on the top had continuity and all except 1 and 6 had continuity on the bottom of the holders.
What all of that means...I have no idea.
