Original underseal
« on: May 27, 2009, 09:48:05 »
I am removing the original underseal from the trunk (boot) floor on my 1969 280SL UK spec car as it has decayed.

Is the original stuff available to re apply or if not has anybody found a way to re create the original look?

My cars underseal had NOT been painted and was a mid grey/beige mat rubberised finish.

Wurth makes an underseal that's pretty close to what's on the car. You will need to buy their gun to be able to use the cannisters they have.

I have used the Wurth undercoating products and they are very good. They have several types of undercoatings, so do your research to get the right one.
