Hi, I have a 230 SL 1965 and the car has jump seat but the other side has a hole I don`t know if that is the way or the hole should be covered with a wooden part like the 190 SL?
If somebody knows please let me know.

Not sure if this is what you are asking but:
The floor in front of the jump seat (kinder seat) is deeper by several inches below the seat level so the legs will have room to dangle when using the seat.
The seat came with a removeable carpeted floor board used to cover the deeper part and make it level with the rest of the back package shelf when the back seat is removed.

Seat bottom, snaps down to the back floor, facing towards the driver side. The seat back has a bolt that passes thru a hole in the wall at the folding top boot, and is fasten with a black plastic round nut. Is this what you are asking?

Thank you for your answer, do you have pictures? And is this OK for a 1965 230 SL?
Thanks you very much again.

The foot well to the left of the kinder seat is covered with 4 extra pieces of carpeting that are not in cars that have the package shelf.
# 3 is glued to a piece of plywood and sets in the bottom of the opening
#4 not visible in photo glues to the back of the cross member and wraps around the left side pannel.
my carpeting (cheep) has shrunk since installed 30 years ago, There should be no uncarpeted sheet metal showing except for a small strip at the left edge of the seat (the horizontal surface) where the package shelves would have clipped in.

Thank you for the info and the picture, just a question what does it mean the shelf package in the car?

Healey
If there is no kinder seat in the back (behind the drivers seat in a rights hand drive, or the passenger seat on a Euro/US car) the area was covered in plywood boards and carpeted. These are not flat but in profile are L shaped so that there is a rear parcel "shelf" (ideal for a dog, according to some) and a vertical section at the front that goes to the floor.
Thus there is a void space under the shelf which is handy for "secure" storage - as there is, albeit far smaller, under the seat pad of that rear seat.
Part numbers 76 and 77 on the picture in the link

Hope this helps
