Visit to the Classic Center - link to 29 images
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:32:19 »
Hello to All,

Please enjoy these photos I recently took on a trip to Los Angeles. If you are ever in that city, don't leave until you have gone down to nearby Irvine for a look at this collection. It is AMAZING!

Regards,  Larry in CA

I have stopped by there a couple of times, quite easy to get to off the freeway. The cars are amazing, including some very low mileage sedans.

There was a thing in one of the UK classic car magazines this month about "youngtimers". Merc is the first to actively deal (buy/sell) it's old stock. Obviously top quality at top prices. But essentially, W123s, 201s, 126s and of course 124s. Factory warranty and all that stuff. MB have set up a special unit to do this and aim to run it through selected delaerships.

Germany at the moment, if it works, broader than that. Wonder where this puts the Classic Centre? Probably on alert as to what they'll be rebuilding and getting asked "correct detail" questions in 20 years (assuming we have any oil to run them)
