I have purchased a leather interior from GAHH for my early 250SL. I'm afraid to tackle the upper dash pad and will be sending those pieces to GAHH. I will attempt to install the leather on all other pieces. I am removing the MB Tex from various pieces and cannot tell for certain which pieces were covered with thin foam padding. Any foam that was originally installed has deteriorated to dust. What pieces had foam under the leather? It looks like the hard pockets on the door panels, the rear quarter panels, and the lower dash pads may have had foam, but the windshield trim did not.
This subject has probably been covered in great detail in the past , but I tried to "search" and couldn't find an answer.
