is metric is the best place to buy engine?

Hello Shimon,

We appreciate all the diversity of this group and everyone is welcome.

We hesitate to recomend a supplier for such a major undertaking especially since it is a very expensive. In your case the suppliers we deal with are half way around the world from you. 

I guess everyone expects that you would be able to find a good Vintage Mercedes Technician in your country?

I am sure Metrics would be glad to deal with you on the engine matter. Will Samples, Dan Caron (The Benz Doctor) also do major engine work on these cars.  There are others I am sure.  Would you be shipping the entire car or just the engine? I guess everyone just needs more information to answere your questions.

in israel there no mecanic ho can make the job. there jost a few car around .
my engine is dead. for parts maybe . i need a new one and i dont wont to send the car.
i look for a good place to buy a 280 sl 1970 engine .

metric is recommended my many,

however

If you are in Israel you could send the motor to mb classic center in germany or Kleine or several other specialists in mb's in europe.

you should be able to find a source closer to your location
