Washer Pump - Priming
« on: January 11, 2010, 21:24:22 »
Installed a vintage windshield washer pump on a 280SL...with new tubing.

Pump is not spraying. VOM meter shows power going to the pump.

Maybe the pump needs to be primed?

If yes, how do you prime the pump? If "mouth-power" is needed, OK to do it with blue fluid in the reservoir or use plain water? or what?

I had the same problem, took mine apart which was surprisingly easy, sprayed every component with WD40, put it back together and it has worked perfectly ever since...
