Kayvan,
Maybe you should add some ranges?
2000 - 5000
5000 - 10000
10000 - 30000
30000+
I'd be curious to know if anyone really drove these like regular cars. There are already 5 people that might be above 2000.
(I put about 700 on mine.)

In order to qualify for "Collector-Plates" here in BC, I have to have another car insured for every day use. In my case a 1986 VW Jetta ( the work horse....)
Other than not being allowed to drive the Pagoda to work and/or to school there are no other limitations. Therefore I drive the car whenever I can in DRY weather. I am semiretired and work only parttime so I have lots of time to do so.  With the hardtop in winter, with the top down in summer. I hardly drive with the softtop up. So I do put on a fair amount of miles every year. (3k-5k)

CHEERS !
WITT !

We had an exceptionall great summer this year and I drove her almost daily !

Looks like 50% of people are driving 1000-2000 mi/yr.

Thats consistent with weekend drives, and great for keeping SLs healthy.

Hope others try and increase driving as its good for the cars and You!

I drive mine when I can on nice days.  Now that I have a soft top I may go out more.  The threat of rain has stopped me allot this year.  I drive my 280 SE 4.5 also.

Ok... Now I can finally answer this one! For the last few years, I have been documenting my mileage (kilometers actually) on New Years Eve. This year, the official reading was 22223 KM. Last 12/31 the reading was 19403. Therefore, my total for 2009 was 2820 KMs or about 1752 miles. Actually a bit lower than my average over the last several years. Not for lack of trying -- car ran well all year and if it was sunny I gravitated towards driving it as I always do... Maybe just not as many Bay Area trips as previous years? Anyway, just for comparison -- these are my stats going back a few years...

2009 --  2820  or 1752 mi
2008 --  4813  or 2990
2007 --  6127! or 3807  -- it was a verrrry good year  :D
2006 --  4660  or 2895

My 1970 is my only car. Drive it everywhere every day. about 10,000-12,000 per year.

About 1200 miles including a 350 mile roundtrip to Sweden, something I would never have done in any of my previous classics (MGA, TR6, Spitfire)
1965 230 SL in silver (DB180)
1982 Land Rover Series III SWB
2008 Jaguar XF 3.0
