List,
I enclose a pic of my 1:18 model car in 568 Signal red, just like my own Pagoda in 1:1
This metal model 230SL car is marketed by the french Norev brand (manufactured in China, of course) and it is a truly nice model, much better than the previous Anson effort.
Dimensions are spot on and detailing astounding (how about fuzzy carpeting, minute number stencilling on the gear lever knob, label on brake booster and even a sway-bar represented).
The model needs to be slightly lowered at the rear in order to sit level and look right. To do this, disassemble with the little screws in the bottom plate of the car, remove plate. Loosen screws at rear axle "springs", trim plastic down some 3 to 4mm, for instance with a Dremel or other file. Then try the height out. When satisfied, re-assemble, model should sit level now.
Note: The base plate and trunk marking says 280SL, however the model represents a pure 230SL
