For the first time from when I bought my 250Sl, two years ago, yesterday I'd decided to wash the body and inside, trunk comprised; so I've took out the spare wheel to clean the rubber mat.
Under the wheel (with his cromed ring) there was a small bag with a zip, inside the bag there were the owner's manual (in italian), the manual for spares and the original (I think) tool bag, with the spare fuse box too!
Obviously the jack and the safety wedge were at their place.
That you believe it or no, I've guided this car for not more than 10 (ten!) kms since I own it because I still must change all the liquids (engine and gear oil, etc.) and the filters, so it has spent last two years to take dust...
Another interesting discovery that I've made inside the right fender along the chassis cross member, are some small written made with white chalk: I think they are some factory signs, but I must verify better.
The car had two owners before me, the first was a lawyer, son of a Rsi high officer killed at the end of WW2, and the second an (actually) old man whose son sold me the car because he didn't like "these old traps: he preferred euros. Luckly".
