What and whose Pagoda is shown on the top our webpage?

I just got curious while finally noting the obvious, i.e the golden Pagoda shown on the top of each webpage of our Forum

Maybe the Founding Fathers may provide the avid crowd of Members with some interesting details about this handsome golden Lady. Is anybody able to tell for example what model it is? Why this particular car was chosen? Whose car it is (if not confidential), and any other detail that would give us more enlightening so that we would be more conscious Members

By looking at her, it can be noticed it is a European version. I will also take a risk by betting that it is likely to be a 71 model, which were (I noticed) fitted with every possible option to sell better before the eve of W107, thus maybe the halogen lamps shown here.

Any information is welcome...

Stan, the golden Pagoda is displayed in the M-B museum in Stuttgart.

many thanks... so the 230 model it is, and I got it all wrong Thanks to the lil you added, I refreshed my memory of the thread where, BTW I also contributed. Somehow I did not made the association of that car with the image on our webpage.

So that probably makes my post short-lived...
