Another distributer question
« on: June 16, 2010, 01:42:20 »
I am confused with the distributor JFUR6 0231 116 51on my 230SL engine  number 012501. Since the SL Group technical manual lists the correct rotor part number for both the -046 and the -051 distributors as 1234 332 088. How can this be, since the cam protrusion that the rotor fit to varies between these two. The -046 has a full length dia. of .560 inch from the cam, while the -051 is also .560 at the cam for a length of 1/8 inch and above that, for the length of the keyway the dia. is .510, or .050 smaller then the rotor bore.

Thanks for any help offered.

Hi, jwalk,

The original Bosch part # for the rotor for the 046 distributor was: 1 234 330 062 but is not on a Bosch current list.
The 1 234 332 088 is still a good number on the Bosch list.

Beru use the same rotor for both applications: EV 4/6-Z, so I assume they are interchangeable.
