Hi Reg,

Congratulations to your excellent purchase.

Quote
...-only just found time to look at data card-I have 4 ? 2 pink 2 beige is that usual ?
Reg

I am a great admirer  of such kind of data and knowledge ... but I am unaware of 4 datacards. I have never seen that before.
I know of three (for the 250&280 SL) but four?
On your picture it appears as if the two pink ones are fully identical. Is this true?
Then - by accident - your car (delivery) was perhaps fitted with two identical ones. :D

Why not? ;)

Best,
Achim

HI Achim
You are correct both pink are the same- one of the beige ones has perforations almost like a bar code but not if you know what i mean  ??? You have a keen eye

Not the comments by a certain mod-who pulled my reply off here.-one line about the car and a few lines about punctuation.
makes you want to not bother-but plenty of other people enjoyed the photos-so who cares  ::)
Reg

Reggie,

I'm sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way. I made the comment about punctuation in jest... as in another thread people had difficulty understanding your enthusiastic - stream of consciousness - posts.

I have not pulled any of your posts... I have reorganised and combined some of your different topic posts into one thread, so that they are easier to follow for you and others.

Keep posting. Keep sharing your enthusiasm.

Thank you Peter
It just reminded of school where i put in a lot of effort only to be told off for not trying. Being dyslexic is like watching a digital television that keeps breaking up-its there but you cant see it. I hated school and its made me try harder in life though. I got my revenge on the english teacher one day i was out in my Rolls Royce aged 27 when i saw said teacher at the bus stop so i stopped and said would you like a lift sir and drove off- il never forget the look on his face. See Yorkshire Evening Post front page - May 26th 1983. Anyway thats why my grammer is poor.I will try harder peter-it amazes me how people from another manage it

Reg,

I'm pleased we can put this behind us. I'm also pleased with your success. My daughter is dyslexic and I know how tough that can be.

PS: I did look up the Yorkshire Evening Post but their website archive only goes back to 1990. You clearly started having succes too soon!  :D

Hi Andy
I just got back off holiday yesterday morning-so ive had to talk to the wife for 2 weeks instead of my car-i keep nipping out in it since i got back- i love it-i read about peoples problems on here and think oh i must check this that and the other-but i believe my car is 100% spot on so ime going to drive it not dismantle it every 10 mins-i must say the gear change is a bit harsh sometimes but i remember my last one in 1990 was the same so il ignore that too. Ive joined the MB club so i can take it to meets but every thing is miles away-but i got a nice window sticker-so we may meet one day and compare notes.

Congratulations Reg on purchasing an exceptional LHD Pagoda, we did something similar 12 months ago from California which we will eventually use in my wife's country Switzerland.
You may not have graduated from high school but I have a sense you are an honours graduate from the "University of Hard Knocks", I had a similar upbringing, being from the wrong side of the track and blanket.
So you owned a "Roller" at 27, took me till 36 to own a Mercedes 600 see attached images, my English Teacher rode a 125 CC BSA Motor Cycle
Enjoy your Pagoda
