My drivers seat is a bit out of shape .some dope did it for me about a year ago and made a hash of it,so I was thinking of redoing it myself has anyone tried to do this job or is it a job for an expert.,are any special tools needed can the base cushion be bought any where apart from the main agent about £200 I think or can they be made up,and what should the correct material be.The springs are all good. Many thanks. Mike.

Mike

If your spring/frame is fine, the rest is the horsehair pad. I'd imagine someone in the classic car world makes them up for less than MB. SLS may have some.

Do a search for pool noodles on here. Not a "fix" but a solution. I did my drivers side but not the passenger - I then get to compare and contrast but so far seem to prefer the drivers side
