Twins at the Car Show.

Mel Goodbourn from Naples, Florida, brought his 71 over to Stuart for the 30th Fall Festival "Treasure Coast Vintage Car Club".  We parked side by side and drew quite a crowd!  My '70 had a broken tail light lens and on Tues one of our vendors, Dave "Gallon Restorations" in Calf. shipped two new ones and one assembly which arrived in time for me to install Friday and make it to the show Sat. morning.  They are just like the originals and look super, see the pictures?  My '70 has the top up, required for judging, no awards for it this time.  Too many other really great cars!  It was great to see another car that looked almost like a twin to mine.

Gascap?
The res of pic (7) is not high enough to judge correctly but to me it looks as if the gas cap is not the original one.
... and the "ears" of the softtop canvas are slightly turned upwards.
That lost a lot of points. Otherwise you would have won! ;)
