Where are the last few 280SL's?
« on: March 31, 2004, 06:51:04 »
I recently bought 113044-12-023878.  According to my research, -023885 is the last 280SL.  This would seem to indicate my car is one of the last 10.  I am wondering where the other very late cars are.  Anyone know?

Hi John - you may check here, in the W113 car registry:

you could also send an email to the German Pagoda Club, I don't know whether they have a registry like ours but I would think so. Then there are all the other MB clubs in the world that may carry some records like this ...

Traditionally, the very last car was usually going to the Daimler Benz Museum.

John, have you shared pix with the group? I'd love to see pix of one of the last Pagodas.

On an ancillary note, I've not seen any mention of where the only two real 1968 250 SLs are. Is this known?
