Has any one had the Air Intake Grille for the heater dismantled and re-chromed,it entails removing four chrome rivets which will be destroyed, how did the re-chroming company deal with this (pop rivets would not be acceptable).

I had my air intake grille re-chromed & did not need to disassemble it.

Clock suply houses sell brass rivets that could be used to reassemble the grille after polishing, then plated with the rest of the grille.

Hi Eric,
So where do you get your chroming done, mainland or on the island?

Interesting as I have been holding off having some items done by them... Now that ive read a recent recommendation my items will be straight to them.
They are 10 minutes drive from me!

I gave my platers an intake grill in assembled condition and they gave it back to me in dis-assembled condition and minus the spacers and rivets!!

Ive asked them to do it in one piece as the rivets are chromed too.... They said they did one recently and it came out well in one piece.
