I have replaced all ball and ball sockets on my linkage ( including the ball on the fuel pump) also re bushed the throttle body.
I refitted the cross over shaft and inserted the 10mm locating dowel,i then adjusted the injection pump rod to fit the two balls(i measured the length of the rod and it is as per the linkage tour),with the throttle valve fully closed i adjusted and fitted the operating rod.
When i operate the crossover shaft the injection pump lever moves to the full fuel position but the butterfly is not at the fully open position, it is 5mm from the stop.
Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you overcome it
If anyone is interested in how i renewed the ball on the injection pump without removing the lever this is what i did.
Using my Dremell with a small grinding wheel attached i carefully ground off the peen ed over/rivetted section of the old ball, i then got my motor cycle chain rivet removal tool (this fitted neatly over the lever and caused no damage or stress) i thenscrewed in the centre pin, this pressed out the old worn ball.
Hope This info: helps.
