250sl sighting
« on: January 20, 2011, 06:27:56 »
I was driving back home from work around 7pm in Beverly Hills ,CA today and I saw a 1967 250sl flying by. It was a beautiful medium blue with a navy blue interioir. The exhaust sound was amazing. I got to talk to talk to the guy at the red light....He owned it since new, has used it as a daily driver and he said he had 365,000 miles....The car looked like it was brand new....I cant stop thinking about it. it was definaltely one of the nicest Pagodas I have ever seen. Too bad I couldnt take pics

Is he aware of this site yet ?  It would be interesting to hear more about his 43 years of ownership .....

It goes to show that any car can look perfect after, what, 100 years? Indefinitely actually, so long as it is properly maintained (only depends on availability of the right spare parts).

As for engaging with this particular owner and his car, we shouldn't wait too too long ...  would be interesting to have a list of current owners who have had their Pagoda since new.
