280SL jack
« on: February 15, 2011, 21:28:13 »
I suspect that several Mercedes cars from the same era used the same jack.  The jack part number is 000 583 67 15.  Does anyone know if this jack was used on other models?  Your insight is appreciated.

Hello,

Yes many of the Same era sedans are the same. These would include the W108, W109, W111 chassis sedans of the era. The things to look for are the pin diameter and the angle of the pin.  There were at least two different styles of jack used on both the SLs and the sedans (the "crank" style and the "ratchet handle" style ).
