So I cannot attend to website issues.

Peter

Sorry, I can't attach pictures from my iPhone... There are more Pagodas than usual!

Some pictures of Pagoda Participants of the Tulpenrally. There were 4 Pagoda's in the rally, two in the Touring class, one in Sporting and one in Expert. The 300SL Roadster is the car that won the rally overall, after 6 days of tough rallying through France.

We came 16th in our Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, in the Sporting class. Overall over 200 cars took place in the wonderful rally.

My wall of Rally Shields in the garage... Note the European Event shield at the bottom left, and the three Tulpenrally shields arranged vertically.

For your enjoyment, some action photographs of the Tulpenrally of 2011, a variety of cars...

Two times a Pagoda, and a 300SL.... non Europeans, please guess what the blue car is!

And yet another set...

The first and the last photo were taken during tests that we have one or two a day of, on a circuit or track. Lots of cars need some tender loving care during the rally... but the Mini clearly has quite a lot of Tulpenrally experience.

Final picture, my driver and I (navigator) at the end of the rally, after the final sprint on the boardwalk at Noordwijk.

Hello Peter,

Congratulations with your participation on the Tulpenrally. Great !
Thanks for sharing  the pictures.

The blue car you refer to is, I guess, the Renault 8 of which over 1.300.000 were built from 1962 till 1971. The basic saloon was a 956 cc but this must be one of the rare cars that were tuned by Gordini (1300 cc, 105 hp)

Greetings,
Erik

Erik,

since even Belgians are Europeans, your answer does not count. You would know. I was looking for non-Europeans to answer this!  ;)

And, please note: even though so many Renault 8's were built, they are much rarer than Pagoda's nowadays.

Peter
