Chrome trim on lid for softtop well - rubber strip?
« on: May 06, 2011, 07:06:49 »
Under the outer chrome trim (garnish mouldings) on the lid for the softtop well is a plastic/rubber strip seal, see photo.
The Mercedes p/n 001 987 61 25 is NLA and I have had no luck finding another supplier (SLS, etc).
Does anyone know a source for that strip?

Hi Alfred. I have a very rare set in good condition. These are basically seals/ rubber buffers against the lid. I know I'll probably need them the minute I give them away. Maybe you have something that I could use in return? :-)
(Like a set of the t-nuts that slide inside the hard top ski rack rails?....)

Best, Tom

I too am needing the same thing.  Mine is still in place but is very brittle.  If someone finds a source or alternative idea, it would be appreciated.
