Particularly tough jobs

Blairwag has been having a very tough time with converting his A/C equipped car to non-A/C: how to remove the old alternator mounting bracket and install a non-A/C bracket. What are some of the other VERY difficult jobs that we can run into? Besides this one, I recall the following were discussed before:

- anything behind the dash, like the heater levers, fan blower motor, wiper motor etc.
- re-fitting the trailing arms on the rear suspension
- fitting the rear-quarter windows on the hardtop
- replacing the signal indicator stalk
- replacing the rear axle compensating spring
- diagnosing and solving cold and warm start problems
- curing rust in the fuel tank and 'upstream' from there

Any others that come to mind?

  Almost anything can become a hard job. All it takes is a little rust and some bad luck.

LAF - yea, I'll bet "getting paid" is a particularly tough task.

Anyway, I have another: Replacing engine mounts.

I did that last year, and still have bad dreams about it. My revision to Cees' excellent step-by-step can be found in this thread:
