Have anyone noticed the weight of the original hupcaps are substanially heavier than the repro hubcaps sold today?

Mark,
I noticed it but didn't think much of it. The originals you speak of were heavier gauge steel, chrome plated. The new ones (OEM, not repro) are a thinner stainless steel with no plating.
